| In accordance with Notice of the General Office of the State Council on Circulating the Outline of IPR Protection Actions (2006-2007), China has set up 50 Service Centers for IPR Protection to receive IPR reporting and complaint relating to infringement of trademark right, patent right, copyright, etc. for bettering IPR protection in China. Besides, these Centers also provide consultation on IPR protection to obligees and the public.
The Centers will exert primary check on the received reporting and complaint and then will transfer those meeting the conditions of reception to the corresponding administrative law enforcement organs, public security organs and judicial organs for settlement in accordance with related laws and regulations. Finally, the Centers will give the information on settlement of reporting and complaint to the reporter or complainant.
Local offices of intellectual property protection and member units of working group for intellectual property rights protection are in charge of specific work of the Centers. The State Office of Intellectual Property Protection and member units of the National Working Group for Intellectual Property Rights Protection are responsible for guidance and supervision on the Centers.
IPR reporting and complaint platform of the website IPR in China is the only online channel to receive IPR reporting and complaint for the Centers. Through this platform, the reporter or the complainant may choose the Center of the corresponding region or city where the infringement happens to propose IPR reporting and complaint.
